There are two screws on the handlebar stem (just below where it folds), which will need to be loosened. Having loosened these screws, it will now be possible to realign your handlebars to the front wheel.
There is a third screw inside the fold hinge, which adjusts the preloading on the headset bearings - do not adjust this screw unless the headset is loose.
Please be careful when adjusting your bike; if you are unsure please seek help from a qualified bike mechanic.
The brake pads are fundamental to your safety when on the bike. We recommend you take your bike to a qualified bicycle technician to have them replaced.
Release the clamp at the base of the seat posts. It will then slide up and down freely. Be sure to keep a firm grip and make sure you don't overextend it past the max line.
Simply take the battery out and plug it into a mains socket using our dedicated charging pack.
We recommend wiping the bike down first with a wet sponge and using a soft brush to clean the tyres. You can buy suitable bike cleaning kits with different styles of brushes online and from your local bike shop.
However, an old toothbrush can work well to remove the dirt around some of the more difficult areas, like the chainrings and cranks. Bike cleaner is useful to get rid of the more stubborn dirt. If you degrease the chain and keeper, make sure you reapply the lubricant. Make sure the bike is wiped dry and left somewhere to air dry easily.
Do not use high-pressure water or air hoses for cleaning.
Do not wash the e-bike components with excessive water.
Our guide will teach you how to fold your Axon Rides electric bike to get it ready for transport or storage.
Once the bike is fully charged the power adapter charge light will go green. There are a series of lights on the ECO model handlebars that light up to tell how much energy is left in your battery. There is a full battery indicator on the display screen on the PRO models.
We recommend you clean and lubricate the chain regularly to maintain the ease of pedalling and improve the life of the components. We recommend that you clean your chain first; this can be done with a lint free cloth or rag or a specialist chain cleaning tool. Carefully wipe the chain down until most of the dirt is gone before reapplying some bike chain lubricant, being careful not to get any lubricant on the disc brakes or rotors.
Unfolding your Axon Ride electric bike is fast and simple (when you know how).Take a look at our guide here.
It takes 3.5 hours to charge your ebike battery from empty to full.
The gear ratio is the difference between the front chainring and rear sprocket; it determines how hard/fast your bike is to pedal.
The front chainring has 52 teeth, and the rear sprocket has 14 teeth. This gives a gear ratio of about 3.7, resulting in you travelling about 4.5 metres per revolution of the crank (or about 60 gear inches).
This gives a good balance between speed and ease of pedalling.
Our bikes are splashproof in normal rain. But because they are not waterproof, due to moving parts.
The pressure should be around 250 KPa (36 PSI). If the pressure is too low, it may cause the tyre to pinch, and you will get a flat. The more you weigh, the higher your tyre pressure needs to be. Higher tyre pressure will lower the rolling resistance making the bike easier to cycle, but the trade-off is that it will make the bike less comfortable on unsmooth roads.
We recommend that you check your tyre pressure regularly.
